A: I like how she looks happy while talking about food.

(1:56) Q: Are there 5th gen members you’d recommend?

A: Somehow there were lots of questions like this, but I think it feels wrong to say “recommend”. I think it’s not something you can recommend. So I’m not going to recommend, but if you start feeling interested in someone, I think it’s important to start knowing her by yourself. I understand when someone asks “What’s a member you like?” but being asked “A member you’d recommend” feels strange. Still, thank you.

(2:42) Q: What should one do when things don’t go well?

A: When something is not going well, somehow nothing goes well, so I think one should find something that would go fine. It probably means that, at that moment, what you’re trying to do doesn’t suit you yet, you still don’t have the right capacities, so you should try again another time, that’s the most important thing.

(3:47) Q: You said the thing you want to do the most right now is to act, but what kind of role would you like to perform?

A: What kind of role? Right now I only desire to act, so I’d like to do my best whatever my role is. Still, I think it’s really a hard thing to do, but inside that hardship, there’s a lot of enjoyment, so…Well, yeah, I just think it would be fun to act. You know, today I performed Kareha no Station on the Stage, and that, for me, is acting. And being able to express and represent that song, was incredibly enjoyable.

(4:38) Q: I’ve heard you’re interested in Kasusu, but exactly what about her interests you?

A: You know, Kasusu has very mysteryous eyes! They somehow absorb you and you can’t understand what she’s thinking about. And that interests me a lot, Kasusu’s eyes.

(5:03) Q: What were your feelings when you performed Ookami to Pride with Shawako?

A: I got praised a lot during handshake event, with people saying it was cute and good, but  you know, among all the Ookami to Pride versions done until now, ours was the one with the higher age range! I’m not good with cute songs, and I think that Shawako felt the same inside, also because of the age thing. That song is cute specifically because it’s performed by young members, members with a little sister chara. There’s nothing cute about it if you make members over 20 perform it!

- So, in the end, Ookami to Pride is cute because it’s performed by young members. For example…Manatsu and Anna! That would be cute for sure! I think that’s a song that should be performed by this kind of members!　Well…that was the first and the last time, so! Ah, it’s so embarassing, I don’t want to talk about it anymore!

(0:46) - About Iwata Karen (she doesn’t read the question immediately)

A: I’ve wrote my impression about AKB0048 on the Official Site blog. I think that Iwata Karen’s voice resembled a lot Macross F’s Ranka-chan during the very first period, and I wrote that’s a voice suited for a main character. The question was “Please talk about Karen-chan’s voice”, and now, somehow, I already did it. You know, Ranka-chan’s seiyuu is still performing in Macross Frontier  and she improved a lot and she’s also very good at singing. So I think that Karen-chan may improve a lot her acting  as well thanks to AKB0048 and become like Ranka-chan. (AHAHAH SO YOU TOO THINK SHE’S NOT THAT GOOD AHAHH) Those are my expectations, I’m looking forward to it.

(2:16) Q: It seems like you separate in a clear way the members you like from your Oshis, but what kind of division is that?

A: It’s not the first time someone asks me this! Thinきs like “Why, even though you like Airin, you also like - someone else -?”. So let me tell you how it is.
NMB48’s Koyanagi Arisa-chan is my first Oshi, my Oshimen. I’m cheering on her with all my might, probably with the exact same feelings that you have. I’d be happy if she would be promoted and, you know, since NMB has Akagumi and Shirogumi as well,  I want Arii to be able to be part of it as much as possible, and I’d like her to be able to appear in tv shows. I’m supporting Arii’s growth. She’s my Oshimen.
As for Airin, I like her. I just normally like her.
And girls like Imade, let’s see…Imade, Ainyan and Paruru, I’d say they’re friends. Our relationship is that of friends, friendship.
And…Uhm, I guess it’s like this…
Other than that, when I say I like another member, it’s the “like” you say to female friends…But no, it’s not friendship either…How should I put it?
It’s like saying another girl is cute from a female prospective, and so I say things like  “cute” or “I like you”.
As for girls like Kanon, and other young and small kid members, I look at them with a Lolicon spirit.
I say they’re cute because I really think they’re incredibly cute.

(4:11) Q: You’re in a different place from the the others in Magical Radio 2, do you feel lonely?

A: You know, we all do the shootings during the same day, so I don’t really feel lonely or something, but I do think I’d like to be inside the studio with them. But I’ll come back next week so please watch it if you’d like to!

(5:13) Q: Compared to the time when Tsuyoki Mono yo was released, do you feel like you’ve become a strong person?

A: I do think I became stronger, but I also think I became weaker. I feel like I became stronger even emotionally but at the same time I’m getting older so I keeep growing. But there are also times when you have to become something and I think that makes me weaker. That’s why recently I’m thinking I should be more level headed, trying not to do the same mistakes again.

(00:41) Q: About the “Exclusive Theatre” expression that is part of the title of the concert in Gaishi Hall…Please tell us if there’s something you’d like that to be about.

A: Uhm, it’s just a rumor but…if they’ll really create a new theatre, I’ve heard it would be good if the theatre atmosphere would change completely. As for me…SKE48’s little stage is something that only SKE has and since the very beginning it’s there that SKE is being created. So I don’t want the Stage’s size to change, I like it small as it is. It’s thanks to that smallness that we can act that fast and we can express our energy like that. Also the smallness is what makes our theatre different from the other ones so yeah, I want at least the size not to change!


(02:20) Q: Do you like better Disney Sea or Disneyland?

A: I love both! But you know, soon Disneyland’s Star Tours will come to an end, and that’s my favorite attraction, that feels so sad, so right now I’d say I prefer Disneyland. If it wasn’t for Star Tours probably I’d like Disney Sea better.
By the way, as for Disney Sea’s attractions I recommend  Shindo Bat and Magic Lamp Theatre. There you’re able to ride Arabian coasts!  Also, they’ll soon create Toy Story Mania, related to Toy Story’s plot! Also, in April will begin Duffy’s award while in Disneyland there will be Easter Events!! I look forward to it!! (I feel stupid for having written down all this specific details about Disneyland and Disney Sea XD)


(3:25) Q: Why don’t you like the word “Want to\I’d like to”? (she wrote it on her G+)

A: You know…Ah, who was it? Ichirou-san or I don’t remember who, since he was a kid, how should I put it? Regarding everything he would say, for example “I’ll become a baseball player” or “I’ll hit a homerun!”, expressing how he was going to just decisively do it! Apparently he used only declaration words. He would not say things like “I’d like to hit a homerun” or “I want to become a baseball player”. When I learned that, I realized that by doing that, being conscious of himself\herself one can just fulfill things exactly how he\she wants to. For example, by saying “I’m going to go out!” instead of “I want to go out”, inside you can feel as you’re encouraging yourself to absolutely do that. So…well, somehow I can’t help but using expressions like “I want\I’d like to”, since there also are things I really can’t do, and sometimes I even think “Ah, I’d like to do something”, but, as much as I can, for example about acting…when the time comes I’d just want to say “I’ll act!”, even if right now I can’t help but only saying “I’d like to act”.
So, that’s why I don’t particularly like the world “I want\I’d like to”.
More than don’t liking it, I’m trying not to use it as much as I can.


(5:29) Q: Among things you’ve eaten until now, is that something that was shockingly unpleasant?

A: Ah, you know…One day my mother prepared a cream stew, but - probably there wasn’t enough ingredients - inside it there was something white. White cream stew? Ah, but cream stew IS white…Well…Anyway there was something white inside it. I wondered what was it and ate it and a strange moisture sprouted out in my mouth. “Ah, it’s white raddish!”  I thought…A cream stew with white raddish is incredibly BAD! The raddish’s moisture spreads inside the cream. I tasted sooooo incredibly bad that it was a trauma and for a while I couldn’t eat cream stew nor white raddish.


(6:29) Q: What’s the 5th most important thing in your life?

A: Right…This is something I often think about. When someone askes me what’s the most important thing I can’t help but think that important things are all important, right? For example…Family’s important, work is important, people supporting me are important, having my own place I can feel at ease in is important…Every important thing is important! So I think it’s not something you can say like, you know “The most important is definitely…” or “the second most important is…”. I think it’s not like that. That’s why for me every important thing is precious at the same level and it’s not something you should put on a ranking.
I was able to realize this when I was asked those questions.
Important things are all important.


(7:46) Q: What do you think about people taking children to national Handshake events?

A: Actually, there are a lot of people taking children during national handshake events. When they happen to wait a lot I feel sorry for them, but if those kids are happy me and other members are really glad. If I’m able to send them home with a smile I feel happy. It’s not a bother at all, so if your child wants to come, please come together, I’ll be happy! I’ll be waiting.  Yeah, I think that for us, what makes us happy the most, is having people come back home with a smile after handshake events. I feel sorry when we have to make everyone wait, but knowing that they came to meet us even for just a moment, sometimes from very far places, I really think it’s great! And I think it’s also great that by doing hand shakes with us someone can feel happy and smile. We’re always waiting and we’ll be happy if you come.

9:44: I know everyone is worried about Jurina but…the only thing I can say is…Please, just wait. She’s thinking about a lot of things, she’s arranging her feelings and thoughts. She’ll sure work and stand on the stage again soon, so everyone, please wait for her. A: Aki-chan’s! Her singing voice…Ah, Nee-san’s too! I really like their singing voice!

A: But…isn’t that unrelated? I mean, things like height and age. That’s at least what I think. So, I’d be happy if you’d keep supporting me without worrying about those kind of things.

A: I’d like to get closer to Fukuoka’s members of the Melon pan alliance! I still haven’t exchanged mail adress with them, so I’d like to do it next time I meet them!

A: I wonder…uhm…someone who can be trusted, I guess. There are lot of meanings inside this expression…it’s just like I think that if you follow someone like her, you’ll really be okay.

A: It’s Hibi Shoujin(日々精進to do one’s best every day)! You know…let’s just keep it between us but…on the official site it’s written that my favourite expression is Hibi Tanren (日々鍛錬　like “training every day”), but the truth is…it’s Hibi Shoujin!!

A: Recently she changed her hairstyle and I feel like she looks more mature!

A: Oh, again this kind of questions! It’s embarassing…Uhm, I like the fact that she often approaches me, how she is somehow funny, and how she shares a lot of things. Including all that, I like her! Something like that.

A: Ah, I see…It may become long, but anyway… It’s that every album is a story, so, listening from the first song to the last one you can enjoy that, but inside every song there are detailed other stories, a lot of underplots! And those underplots are…Ah, for example the underplot of the first song may be linked to the one of the fifth song! There are connections everywhere! So you can find them and try to explain things, trying to find the right answers. I really, really enjoy how it’s possible to interpretate the stories in a very personal way.  Yeah. Something like this!
Ah, as for the songs…there are different melody lines so you never get tired of them! I think that’s an important point!

A: Uhm…I’d say there’s no-one in particular! I like my lifestyle! You know…there’s something I admire about someone else, I could even think about becoming her but then I think that if I were to actually become her there would be the possibility that I couldn’t be able anymore to do thing that are precious to me. I think that probably it’s more difficult to be who you actually are but it also gives you freedom.

A: Yeah, it was delicious! As for the juice…Uhm, how did it taste…Somehow it had to be something like strawberry syrup, a red juice. It had cherries inside. And…it wasn’t tasty…


(1:20) Q: After Kingyo’s release, is there something you think you’ve been able to grow?

A: Well…uhm, something in which I was able to grow? I think it’s the fact that I experienced that kind of shooting. I was able to understand how the common shootings are different from a PB shooting.


(1:44) Q: Among the places you visited during Kingyo’s shootings, is there one you like?

A: I came to like a lot Arakawa’s embankment.


(2:28) Q: What’s the picture that the other members liked the most?

A: Everyone liked a lot the photo in which I’m eating the fork, I heard them saying that.


(2:52) Q: If one picks up the cover, there’s a photo with Rena’s eyes and hands. Please tell us if there’s a meaning behind that.

A: I wonder what’s the meaning of that…I’m not sure myself. The only thing I remember is that the photo with the eyes was taken during the shooting for the cover, while the one with the hands was taken when I was wearing a black dress.


(3:24) Q: Please tell us if there was an episode during the PB’s shootings that leaved an impression on you.

A: Uhm, everything leaved a great impression on me….Ah! Someone asked me why is there a photo in which I’m running holding bananas. That episode really leaved an impression. It was when I was walking outside, during the shooting and somehow we were considering to take photos with me holding something. Just by chance, right in the vicinity, there was a little supermarket, more like a greengrocer, and what the cameraman and the staff members took were bananas.
By the way, it can’t be seen in any photo, but　there were bananas even in the bag I was wearing! I think I have a picture of that in my Iphone… (she then finds it and show it in the video XD)


(4:48) Q: Did you choose by yourself all the books you’re holding in the bookstore?

A: It went like this. Suddenly they told me to take a book, so I took one that was right near me. But then they told me to take more books, so I took a lot of other books from the vicinity and it turned out with that amount. If you notice, they’re all somehow gloomy themed books…No, not gloomy…for example there were economics books, and a lot of others regarding specialistic themes, so I’d like everyone to take a good look at them. But the book I was reading in the pic when I skipped work, was chosen by me!


She ended the Q&A session here and started showing pictures from the PB shootings, that she has inside her phone.
There’s a pic in the bookstore, when NewType (an anime and manga magazine) can be seen, and that’s why she likes it.
There’s also a pic of her cooking the Napolitan and one of her in a Jungle Gym. She liked some pic taken there and she’s disappointed they weren’t used for the PB.

A: Uhm…well, I think she has a lot to think about being Team E’s leader, and she does her very best on everything. She also likes that movie, High school musical, so maybe we can get along well.

A: I wonder about what kind of melody…Uhm…I guess something that could be streamed from a fish or meat shop! I think that something like that would be okay!
As for the outfit, I’ll leave it to everyone, it just has to be something that would be perceived as cute.

A: Of course I have! I also wrote it on my blog! During the Request Hour, Sasshi was doing some public relations holding “Sashiko” and when I met her she gave a copy to me saying “Here, Rena, for you!”. I think the contents are wonderful.


(8:16) Q: Do you wish to debut as a solist? If so, what kind of songs would you like to sing?

A: I feel like I’ve already answered to something like this. Well…I really don’t wish do become a  singer so I wouldn’t want to debut as a solist. I’m not good at singing, actually I suck, but I feel bad for the other members so I really want to do my best at singing too. So no, I don’t want to debut as a solist singer. But on the other hand I’d be very happy to debut as an actress.



(10:40) Q: Is Jurina really a kiss demon?

A: Uhm, recently…I’d say she’s an occasional kiss demon. She really wants to get spoiled. But I think that’s really cute!



(11:31) Q: Among SKE songs, what’s the one that left the strongest impression inside you?

A: Uhm…the one that left the strongest impression? Well…Ah, it’s Koi no Keikou to Taisaku. It’s from Team S’ 2nd, Te wo Tsunagi Nagara. One time I went on the stage wearing my own black boots, and I noticed them during the performance and I was like “OMG!”. And that’s why this song is the one that left in me the strongest impression. Somehow…I’m sorry XD


(13:42) Q: Have you ever talked with members from Nogizaka46? What do you think about them?

A: I’ve never talked with them yet, but I’d like to! I’m interested in Rena-chan! I’d like to talk with her, also because we share the same name.
